oh canada!

we are busy getting henry ready for his big canadian fishing adventure! something he has been looking forward to all summer! i have to admit, going to canada fishing was not the highlight of my childhood! so it's safe to say he did not get this canada love from me!

as i am reviewing his packing list i am thankful for a couple things:

1) that the traditional canadian fishing trip continues

2) that i don't have to go!

thank you to my parents, brother and sister in law for taking henry on this adventure! be safe and have fun!

yesterday this little guy came over so i could snap his picture . . . he is the sweetest baby and his father's clone! his dad and i grew up in the same little town together so i have known him forever, and now i can call his wife my friend too!

i made this last week with fresh basil from my garden. yummy! but you know what was even yummier? when i mixed this with cream cheese and made dip! now that's where it's at, people!

i designed these for our sweet babysitter, Baylie. she makes the yummiest jam! {the raspberry is my fav} it's safe to say at 17 i wasn't doing much in the kitchen except eating!

i love the idea of asking her friends to bring a plant from their garden or their favorite recipe, handwritten!
